Hampshire - Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA)
The ISVA role was commissioned by the Home Office Violent Crime Unit in 2005. An ISVA offers practical and emotional support to survivors of sexual violence, regardless of whether they have decided to report to the police or not.
The ISVA is an independent, non-judgemental and confidential service, working closely with relevant agencies to ensure you get the advice, information and support that you need. ISVA support can take the format of either face to face visits, telephone contact or both, depending on what you feel comfortable with.
The ISVA can let you know about your options, help you access relevant support services and will support you through the legal process if appropriate.
The ISVA service is not a counselling service, however if you would like to access a counselling service then the ISVA can suggest where you can find specialist support.
The Hampshire ISVA service can be contacted, Monday - Friday between 8am - 4pm. There is an answer phone available at all other times, please leave a message and we will call you back.
The ISVA service is not a 24 hour service, or a crisis helpline. If you require immediate support out of hours please use the contact numbers below:
